3 Anglican bishops received into Catholic Church
January 03, 2011
Three former bishops of the Church of England-- John Broadhurst, Andrew Burnham and Keith Newton-- were received into the Catholic Church at Westminster Cathedral on January 1 during a Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Alan Hopes. The three, who will be ordained to the priesthood on January 15, were joined by two of their wives and three nuns.
Bishop Hopes, himself a former Anglican, said that the converts “been journeying, seeking the fullness of truth, and they found it in the Catholic Church.”
