'Catholics Come Home' draws 200,000 back to faith

December 20, 2010

The “Catholics Come Home” program has brought as many as 200,000 American Catholics back to the active practice of their faith, organizers believe.

Tom Peterson, who has worked with various American dioceses to place television ads inviting lapsed Catholics to revisit the Church, said that the problem has “been blessed with amazing results.”

The program—which is timed for Lent and/or Advent—has been used extensively by US dioceses, and is being tried in Australia and Poland.
