New York archdiocese readies list of schools likely to close

The Archdiocese of New York will soon release a list of the Catholic schools that may be closed in a consolidation plan. Informed sources say that about 30 of the 216 parochial schools in the archdiocese may be closed as part of a 3-year plan to restore the financial viability of the overall system.
