‘Evident fear’ among Pakistani Christians

Violence and discrimination against Pakistani Christians-- including a recent attack on a Protestant church-- have led to a climate of fear and insecurity, a Pakistani priest told the Fides news agency.
“There are no imminent threats, but there is still fear evident among the Christian community,” said Father Diego Saleh, chancellor of the Diocese of Karachi. “In Pakistan, we Christians are in a precarious condition: we do not know what may happen in the next five minutes.”
