Pope meets with premier of Cape Verde

Pope Benedict XVI met on September 9 with Prime Minister José Maria Pereira Neves of Cape Verde at the summer papal residence in Castel Gandolfo.

A short Vatican statement released after the meeting indicated that the conversation had centered on bilateral relations, and that an agreement was reached “to establish a bilateral working commission to begin work on a framework agreement between the Holy See and Cape Verde."
