Profile of scientists behind lawsuit on embryonic stem-cell research
September 02, 2010
The Wall Street Journal profiles the two scientists whose lawsuit prompted a federal judge to halt federal funding for embryonic stem-cell research: James Sherley and Theresa Deisher. Both are unabashedly pro-life, and their convictions influenced their decisions to join in the suit. "Any adult stem cell scientist is disadvantaged, and that's because there is a deliberate focus to fund embryonic stem cell research and a focus away from adult stem cell research," Dr. Deisher said.
