President Obama salutes Muslims in Ramadan message

August 13, 2010

US President Barack Obama has released a message to Muslims for the feast of Ramadan, praising the Islamic faith and welcoming the renewed Muslimic fervor that is awakened during the month of fasting and prayer. The president observed: “These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”

    Tell that to the women stoned to death, or victims of 'honor' killings, those covered head to foot, who cannot drive cars or go out without escort for fear of punishment under sharia law. This is justice!? This is tolerance?! How does this advance 'the dignity of all human beings"? The man has lost contact with reality--if he ever had it.
