Swiss bishops to report abuse allegations to police

The Swiss bishops’ conference announced on June 2 that it would routinely report clerical abuse allegations to police rather than encouraging victims to file the reports. The bishops’ conference also announced that since the beginning of the year, 104 abuse allegations had been made against 72 priests.
