Profile of gay ex-deacon who sued the Vatican

April 22, 2010

An alternative weekly newspaper has published a profile of Daniel Shea, an attorney and Louvain-educated former deacon who believes that the conclave of 2005 elected Cardinal Ratzinger pope so that he would be granted immunity from a lawsuit Mr. Shea had initiated. Described in the article as “an out and proud gay man,” Mr. Shea insinuates that the Pontiff is a homosexual.

O God, please hear our cry and rid of us of the evil that surrounds us. Protect and defend Joseph Ratzinger and vindicate him in the eyes of the world, that he may be able to proclaim your truth with strength. All you holy angels assist him. Holy Mary, St. Joseph, and all you saints, pray for him.

Guys, Catholic Culture dot org guys, is it really necessary to publish stuff like this? It's really the lowest tier of nothingness. Like Johnny Carson when he used to play the Great Carnac and would read a response on the card that he thought was JUST too stupid to read aloud, he'd snort and toss it over his shoulder. You really, really, really can do the same.

A gay ex-deacon! You can't make this stuff up. It's because of news like this that you are tempted to believe we are in the end times.
