Pope Benedict working on his final book?

April 19, 2010

After completing the second volume of his work on Jesus of Nazareth, which is now in progress, Pope Benedict XVI will not write any more books, according to a report in the Italian daily Corriere della Sera. The American Jewish scholar Jacob Neusner reports that during a meeting with the Pontiff he asked about future writing projects. Neusner recalled: "With a smile, he answered: 'Nothing else. This is my last book. I have other things to do.'"

Pope Benedict has been a prolific writer, producing more than 50 books and hundreds of essays.
