Idaho legislature approves conscience-protection legislation

In a 51-18 March 17 vote, the Idaho House of Representatives has approved legislation recognizing the right of pro-life health care workers to refuse to administer drugs that cause abortions or kill the terminally ill. The measure awaits the signature of Governor Butch Otter, a pro-life Catholic.
