Alabama puts abortion clinic on probation following student’s undercover work
February 11, 2010
Alabama’s Bureau of Health Provider Standards has placed a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on probation for violating the state’s parental consent law. Following an investigation, state and police officials also expressed concern at the staff’s failure to report child abuse and statutory rape.
The investigation was prompted by an undercover video in which a UCLA student posing as a 14-year-old was told that “we bend the rules” in following the state’s parental consent statute.
