The cited article quotes an activist: "I find hope in the 40 Catholic institutions that have already announced plans to divest from oil and gas and the...other faith-based groups around the world that are considering doing the same." This is 1960s-1990s activism. Nonsense. It's time for a change. Instead of campaigning to destroy energy companies, why not campaign to encourage them to finance carbon sequestration technologies. The cigarette companies listened. Why wouldn't the energy companies?
