Sicilian archdiocese sues lay movement in abuse case

CWN Editor's Note: The Archdiocese of Acireale has announced plans to bring suit against a lay group, Catholic Culture and Environment Association, whose leader is on trial for sexual abuse of young girls. The defendant, Piero Alfio Capuana, has sought to show that his work had the support of the archdiocese; the archdiocese says that it will sue “so that the truth may emerge.”
