CWN Editor's Note: Government officials in Liangwang (Shandong), China, have demolished a Catholic church, saying that the building was in violation of local zoning regulations. The church—administered by the government-approved “official” Catholic Church—had been formally approved by the government in 2006. Officials said that zoning rules had subsequently changed. Parishioners were given no notice of the alleged violations.
