When families cross the border over fences (rather than at entry points) they must know they are risking the breakup of their families. The president is simply enforcing the existing laws which have been ignored during the Obama years.

So we consider incarcerating people who break the law as immoral since it separates them from their children? Are lawful migrants being separated from their children?

I do not recall any voices of concern from the Bishops when there were massive waves of so-called "unaccompanied minors" crossing the US border under Obama. They were children separated from their living parents and sent to migrate to a foreign country.
