Archbishop Paglia supports British judge’s decision against ‘overzealous treatment’

CWN Editor's Note: Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, the president of the Pontifical Academy for Life, has voiced his support for a British judge who ruled that a 22-month-old child could be removed from a ventilator despite his parents’ protests. Arcbishop Paglia said that the judge’s ruling, in a case involving the incurable disease of Alfie Evans, “was not meant to shorten his life, but to suspend a situation of overzealous treatment.”
