Number of jubilee pilgrims reaches 3 million

Three million pilgrims have passed through the holy door of St. Peter’s Basilica since the jubilee year of mercy began, Archbishop Rino Fisichella said on March 14.

The president of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization said that the figure does not include those who have passed through other holy doors, whether in other Roman basilicas or outside of Rome.
