Threats against Christian targets have become common since the terrorist attack that killed 23 people at the Church of All Saints in Alexandria, Egypt, on New Year’s Eve, 2011. But the latest threats are being taken seriously, particularly because they indicated some detailed knowledge of the monasteries.
