Drone flights over Rome banned during Jubilee Year as security precaution

The Italian government will ban drone flights over the center of Rome during the Jubilee Year, to protect against terrorist attacks.
Interior minister Angelino Alfano announced the policy move following the deadly attacks in Paris. He said that the Italian government is stepping up security precautions, especially in light of the heightened focus on Rome during the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which begins December 8. “Particular attention has been dedicated to the risk of an attack from the air, using drones,” he said.
