Nobel Peace Prize winners meet with Pope
November 09, 2015
Pope Francis received four representatives of the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet in audience on November 7.
The quartet-- composed of the Tunisian General Labour Union, the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts, the Tunisian Human Rights League, and the Tunisian Order of Lawyers-- won the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in stabilizing the North African nation following the Arab Spring.
During their 15-minute meeting, the Pope said that the quartet’s representatives were “architects of peace,” and they in turn described the Pope as a “man of peace” and gave him a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, according to Vatican Radio.
