Papal condolences following fire in Bucharest

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, has sent a telegram of condolence in the Holy Father’s name to Romanian President Klaus Iohannis following a nightclub fire that killed 32 and injured 179.
Cardinal Parolin conveyed the Pope’s “deep sorrow” and “spiritual closeness to the families of the victims, government authorities, and the entire nation,” while “commending to the mercy of the Lord the many who died.”
