Cardinal Napier: African bishops’ focus is preventing marriages from breaking up

Cardinal Wilfrid Napier of South Africa, who serves as one of the four presidents-delegate of the Synod of Bishops, twice commented on the Synod on his Twitter account on October 15.
He wrote, “As I understand it, Synod2014 was about problems. Synod2015 is about what Family is called to be & to do in Church & world i.e reform both!”
“For African Bishops at Synod key question is how best to prevent breakup happening,” he wrote later. “Best way is thorough preparation & caring accompaniment!”
