Bishop Conley was not at home in the afternoon, when the break-in occurred. He reported that the most valuable item stolen was a pectoral cross that had been given to him by Pope Benedict XVI.
The bishop made a plea for the robber to return the pectoral cross, which has no great monetary value. Police have alerted local pawn shops to watch for the tiem.
