Nebraska bishop is burglary victim

October 12, 2015

The residence of Bishop James Conley, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was burglarized on Saturday, October 10.

Bishop Conley was not at home in the afternoon, when the break-in occurred. He reported that the most valuable item stolen was a pectoral cross that had been given to him by Pope Benedict XVI.

The bishop made a plea for the robber to return the pectoral cross, which has no great monetary value. Police have alerted local pawn shops to watch for the tiem.
