Canadian bishops elect new president

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops elected new officers at its annual assembly, which is taking place in Cornwall, Ontario.
Bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI, of Hamilton, Ontario, is the conference’s new president, and Bishop Lionel Gendron, PSS, of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, Quebec, is the new vice president.
