Kuwaiti premier meets Pontiff; new pact on bilateral affairs

Pope Francis met on September 10 with Sheik Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the prime minister of the State of Kuwait.

The “cordial discussion” focused on the role of the Christian minority in Kuwait, and the need for education to foster inter-religious harmony.

During the Kuwaiti leader’s visit to Rome, an agreement was signed between Kuwait and the Holy See calling for collaboration in political and cultural affairs.
