Vatican delegate objects to gender ideology in UN development document

September 02, 2015

Commenting on a UN development plan, the Vatican’s representative has taken exception to language that promotes access to abortion, contraception, and gender ideology.

Archbishop Bernardito Auza, the Holy See’s permanent observer at UN headquarters in New York, also emphasized that development problems and environmental concerns must be weighed in light of the overarching demands of human dignity.
