Care for the sick during jubilee, says Pope
August 18, 2015
In a message to an Argentine association that assists the needy in receiving the sacraments, Pope Francis called for an expanded apostolate to the sick and the dying during the upcoming Jubilee of Mercy.
Stating that we will be judged on our corporal and spiritual works of mercy to those in need, Pope Francis described the jubilee as a “good opportunity for increasing the collaboration between pastors and the laity in the mission of affectionately and tenderly caring for the sick and dying.”
