World Health Organization: train more health care workers in abortion

August 07, 2015

More health care workers around the world need to be trained to take part in abortions, the World Health Organization stated in a new report.

“Among the many barriers that limit access to safe abortion care, the lack of trained providers is one of the most critical,” the report stated. “It is estimated that the global deficit of skilled health-care professionals will reach 12.9 million by 2035.”

“Policy and regulatory barriers, stigma or the unwillingness of some health-care professionals to provide care may further limit the availability of safe abortion and post-abortion care providers in many contexts,” the report added. “Advanced practitioners, midwives, nurses and auxiliaries are still insufficiently used in many settings.”

When PP is defunded, we should also bar any support to any other organization, like WHO, who perform abortions. PP is not the only organization performing abortions for money that is funded with our tax dollars!
