Churches set on fire in Indonesia

July 28, 2015

Arsonists set fire to two Protestant churches in Indonesia on July 20.

The attacks took place in Bantul and Purworejo, two cities that are 35 miles apart on the island of Java. Neither church was destroyed, and a note left at one church stated the action was in retaliation for the burning of a mosque elsewhere in Indonesia.
