Ex-nuncio, awaiting trial, returns to Vatican
July 23, 2015
Józef Wesolowski, the laicized ex-nuncio who faces a Vatican trial on charges of acquiring child pornography and sexually abusing teenage boys, has been released from the hospital and has returned to the Vatican, according to a Zenit report.
Wesolowski's trial, originally scheduled for July 11, was delayed because of "the onset of an unexpected illness," the Holy See Press Office stated at the time.
