Christian Poles honored for saving Jews in WWII

Poland’s chief rabbi, joined by an Israeli diplomat and an official from a US foundation, gathered in Warsaw recently to honored 50 Polish Christians who hid Jews during the Holocaust.
“A universal theme is that ‘we did nothing special. We were just normal,’” said Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich, according to an AP report. “It’s a really important lesson for everyone that helping another human being is normal.”
