Pope Francis visits Pope Emeritus Benedict

Pope Francis visited with Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at the latter’s residence for a half hour on June 30, according to the Holy See Press Office.

Pope Francis, according to the press office, offered best wishes the Pope Emeritus as the latter prepares to spend two weeks at Castel Gandolfo, the traditional summer residence of the popes.
