June 10, 2015
Encouraging Pope Francis to speak about racism, imprisonment, immigration, and economic justice during his apostolic journey to the United States, 20 union leaders and community organizers are in Rome to meet with Vatican and religious-order officials.
With the assistance of Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga and several American bishops, the group will meet with two cardinals, officials from pontifical councils, and the head of the Society of Jesus, according to the National Catholic Reporter.
