Cardinal Rubén Salazar Gómez of Bogota has called for the quick conclusion of negotiations to end Colombia’s long civil war.

The talks had been in jeopardy when FARC guerillas suspended a ceasefire, and five FARC fighters were killed in a raid by government forces.
