A federal appeals court has refused to issue a temporary order barring enforcement of the HHS mandate against the University of Notre Dame.
“Although Notre Dame is the final arbiter of its religious beliefs, it is for the courts to determine whether the law actually forces Notre Dame to act in a way that would violate those beliefs,” the court ruled.

My personal opinion is that this is a win/win for Notre Dame; it got what it wanted and it now can say, "Well, Bishop, we really wanted to comply with Church teaching, but that nasty old court won't let us. Too bad, so sad."
