Monday meeting of Curia leaders was devoted to Jubilee Year plans

May 19, 2015

When Pope Francis met on May 18 with top officials of the Roman Curia, the meeting was devoted to plans for the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Vatican Insider reports.

Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the president of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, briefed the Vatican officials on overall plans for the Jubilee. Then the heads of other Vatican dicasteries spoke about the plans being made by their own offices for the year.

The Monday-morning meeting, which had not been announced in advance, was mentioned without comment in the daily bulletin of the Vatican Information Service. No explanation for the meeting was given at the time.
