On Earth Day, Pope says 'see the world through the eyes of God the Creator'

Recognizing the worldwide celebration of Earth Day on April 22 at the close of his regular weekly public audience, Pope Francis encouraged the faithful to “see the world through the eyes of God the Creator.”

“The relationship between man and nature must not be governed by greed, manipulation and exploitation,” the Pontiff said; “but rather should preserve the divine harmony between creatures and creation, in the logic of respect and care, to place it at the service of our brothers and for future generations.”
