Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has issued a temporary order halting enforcement of the HHS mandate against Catholic charities and schools associated with the Dioceses of Pittsburgh and Erie.
“The order requires the government to brief the Supreme Court next week on why it should be allowed to fine these organizations for refusing to distribute abortion-inducing drugs and devices and other contraceptives,” the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty said in a statement.
