US, Vatican officials discuss nuclear nonproliferation

The United States’ Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security has traveled to Rome to meet with Vatican officials on April 9 and 10.
“Under Secretary [Rose] Gottemoeller will meet with various counterparts at the Holy See to discuss arms control and nonproliferation issues, including the upcoming Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty Review Conference,” the State Department said in a press release. “She will be joined by Madelyn Creedon, Principal Deputy Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration.”
