An annual session of interreligious dialogue took place at the European Parliament in Brussels on March 24.
The chief representative of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) at the session was Auxiliary Bishop Theodorus Hoogenboom of Utrecht, who called for mutual knowledge and respect and for regular dialogue about topics such as the family, youth, and society.
Referring to intolerance and terrorism, Bishop Hoogenboom also called upon religious leaders to foster a culture of peace.
