March 17, 2015

A Navy chaplain who is a Pentecostal minister faces the prospect of termination after some sailors complained that he counseled against homosexual and premarital sexual activity.

Lt. Cmdr. Wesley Modder’s commanders have concluded that he is “intolerant” and “unable to function in the diverse and pluralistic environment” of his assignment, according to the Military Times.

A massive refusal to comply by all the Faiths represented in the Chaplain Corps is the only response possible, else give up and go home. And wait till the Government controls the Internet

I hope all Catholic chaplains will soon likewise "face the prospect of termination" for this same reason. If not, I will have to wonder why not.

The goal is to chase all chaplains who hold to traditional mores out of the military. They will welcome Wiccans, but not Christians and Jews. It will be interesting to see whether Muslim chaplains will be so disciplined.

This chaplain has been counseling sailors for over 19 years. He was never called up before an inquisition before the repeal of don't-ask-dont-tell. Now, he is subject to an inquisition. What was standard counseling fare four years ago, is now a violation of conscience. Welcome to the dictatorship of relativism.
