European bishops’ officials discuss conscientious objection

Legal advisers to the bishops’ conferences of nearly 20 European nations gathered in Bratislava from March 4 to 6 to discuss the importance of institutional and individual conscientious objection to laws that affect education and health care.
“A new dimension of conscientious objection arises with respect to aggressive promotion of gender ideology through education and antidiscrimination legislation,” the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences said in a press release.
