Persecution of Christians reaches ‘historic levels,’ says group

Open Doors, a Protestant organization that advocates on behalf of persecuted Christians, has released its annual report and found that “while the year 2014 will go down in history for having the highest level of global persecution of Christians in the modern era, current conditions suggest the worst is yet to come.”
The organization found that Christians face “extreme persecution” in 11 nations (led by North Korea and Somalia), “severe persecution” in 14, and “moderate persecution” in an additional 14.
