Vatican cardinal travels to Ebola region

Expressing the Church’s solidarity with victims Ebola virus disease, Cardinal Peter Turkson, the president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, traveled to Liberia and Sierra Leone from December 16 to 19.
According to the Monrovia Observer,the prelate told Liberia’s president that “we have a small plan that is built on five pillars: education, care for orphans, support healthcare, psychosocial support and pastoral approach to burial practices.”
