Diplomacy consists of ‘small steps,’ says Pope
December 18, 2014
Pope Francis received 13 new ambassadors to the Holy See and said in brief remarks that diplomacy consists of “small steps” that “sow brotherhood among peoples.”
Referring to developments in US-Cuban relations, the Pontiff said on December 18 that “two peoples yesterday” made a “step of approach.” Attributing the development to ambassadors and diplomacy, he added that “your work is noble … so noble.”
