Church of England appoints first female bishop

Rev. Libby Lane has been chosen to become the first female bishop of the Church of England.

Rev. Lane, who is currently a vicar in the Chester diocese, will become the Bishop of Stockport. Her appointment follows the long-awaited November vote by the Church of England synod to allow female bishops.
