Peru's President Humala meets with Pontiff

Pope Francis met on November 14 with president Ollanta Moises Humala Tasso of Peru.

A brief Vatican statement released after the meeting indicated that the conversation had revolved around the Christian heritage of Peru, the contributions of the Church to educational and social programs, and the political situation in South America generally.
