Chicago archdiocese releases files on priests accused of abuse
November 06, 2014
The Archdiocese of Chicago has released internal files on 36 priests who were accused of sexual abuse.
The newly released documents, comprising about 15,000 pages, involve the cases of priests against whom "substantiated" accusations were made. The archdiocese said that the documents had been vetted only to protect the identity of the alleged victims.
None of the accused priests remains active in ministry, the archdiocese said.
