Jordan’s king again speaks in defense of Christians

King Abdullah II of Jordan, a Muslim ruler known for his commitment to interreligious dialogue, met with the president of Armenia on October 29 and reiterated his views on the importance of Christians in the Middle East.
“His Majesty warned against the practices leading to the forced migration of Arab Christians in some neighboring countries, underscoring the role of Christians in building Arab civilization,” the Jordan Times reported. “He said the Kingdom is committed to preserving the Christian presence in the region and protecting the identity of Arab Christians.”
